The video uploaded in real-time by T.J. Williams on Tuesday evening shows him and two other men in a car smoking what appears to be marijuana, while listening and rapping along to hip hop music. About five minutes and 40 seconds into the video, gun shots were fired, instantly throwing Williams back and the phone to the floor of the car, the report said. However, the recording continues for more than an hour, capturing the sounds of witnesses followed by the first responders attempting to save the men. Although the men can no longer be seen, after the firing stops, someone is heard saying, “Call the ambulance, please,” before going on to say “there’s three of us shot”. “Stay relaxed, stay calm, stay relaxed,” another voice is heard over sounds of gasping. A voice is heard comforting the victims, saying: “Give me your hand. I got you. Stay with me. It’s going to be alright. “They’re coming. They’re coming to get you. Keep your eyes open. Keep listening to my voice. It’s going to be alright.” Around 10 minutes later, emergency responders are heard arriving. The shooting has been confirmed by the Norfolk police department. On Tuesday night, the Norfolk Police department released a statement on their website, saying the police were investigating a “shooting incident that sent three people to the hospital with life threatening injuries Tuesday evening.” The statement continues, “At approximately 6:10 p.m., Norfolk dispatchers received a call for gunshots heard in the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard. As police responded to the scene, the call was quickly updated to possibly three gunshot victims. Upon arrival, officers located three men inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. All three men, ages 27 and 29, were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with “significant injuries.” However, the police did not identify the men in the statement. In a later update, police said two of the men had life-threatening injuries.
