Microsoft Didn’t Pay Me For Nearly Half A Year Says Windows Phone DeveloperMicrosoft pays arrears of the Windows Phone Developer after the company complains on Twitter
According to the developer forums, payments are made every month. However, it is not clear how much money was owed.
— Fhotoroom (@Fhotoroom) December 8, 2015 Speaking with Business Insider, the developer behind Fhotoroom said “[The aim was] not … to get out a story or attack Microsoft. I simply ran into a complete road block on solving a payment issue through normal [Microsoft] channels for 5 months. Public channels are unfortunately sometimes the only way for large companies like [Microsoft] to be able to see an internal process that is failing.” Once he went public the “issue clearly got escalated very quickly,” he said. “S— happens but I believe this will only make [Microsoft] have better relations with devs.” Senior Program Manager at Microsoft on the Windows Insider Program Team, Brandon LeBlanc also replied to the original tweet and submitted the message to those in charge at the Redmond-based tech giant, so the issue was quickly resolved after that. Microsoft has been working hard to convince more developers to code for its new Windows platforms, which has traditionally lagged behind Apple and Google in terms of quality and quantity. Where Microsoft is trying so hard to get closer to the developer community, stories such as this certainly do not help the image. “Just another day in the mobile battle field,” the developer said.
